Shank Law was established in Alliston in 2008 and currently provides services in Family Law, Civil Law, and Wills and Estates.

Roxanne C. Shank, Hons B.A., M.A., J.D.
Barrister, Solicitor, and Notary
Roxanne has extensive litigation experience, and has practiced both family law and civil law at several full-service boutique firms in Toronto, Midland and Alcona before she founded Shank Law Professional Corporation. She has considerable experience assisting couples in achieving family law settlements via court proceedings, as well as by way of negotiated agreements.
Roxanne has appeared in the Barrie, Orangeville, Newmarket, Collingwood, Midland and Brampton courts. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toronto and has a Bachelor of Arts degree as well as a Master of Arts degree in philosophy from Brock University. Roxanne has completed Levels I and II of the Collaborative Law Training Program. She is a member of Collaborative Practice, Simcoe County, and the Ontario Association for Family Mediators.
Roxanne is a member in good legal standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada; a panelled member with Legal Aid of Ontario; and a member of the Simcoe County Family Law Lawyers’ Association (SCFFLA), and the Simcoe County Lawyer’s Association (SCLA)
Within the community, Roxanne is a member of the Rotary Club, and the Alliston Business Improvement Association (ABIA). In her spare time, Roxanne enjoys making and exhibiting her quilts.
Omar Khan, N.C.A., L.P.C., G.D.L., B.A. Hons
Barrister, Solicitor, and Notary
Omar joined Shank Law in January of 2012, and advises clients in all areas of family law, including separation agreements, divorce, custody, access, restraining orders, child and spousal support, and property equalization. Omar graduated from BPP Law School in London, and proceeded to complete the National Committee on Accreditation to practice law in Canada. While studying for the Graduate Diploma in Law, Omar earned the Oxford University Press Award for best performing student. Prior to beginning his career in law, Omar enjoyed a career as a journalist, working at the Sunday Times in England.
In his spare time, Omar watches his local side, West Ham United Football Club, take a good hiding in the English Premier League.
Omar is a member in good legal standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada, a panelled member of Legal Aid of Ontario, the Simcoe County Family Law Lawyers’ Association (SCFLLA), and Simcoe County Lawyer’s Association (SCLA).
Office Manager, Senior Law Clerk
Lynn joined the ranks of Shank Law in February 2014. She previously held positions at a major financial institution and with a large logistics company. Lynn performs several key roles at the firm, including Office Manager and Senior Law Clerk, and is our front-line Client Manager. Lynn has many years of office experience and demonstrates exceptional client relationship and management skills. Her strengths include a strong work ethic, great dedication and a willingness to help other members of the team.
Lynn is passionate about helping families facing difficult times in their lives. She is kind hearted, and has a way of making clients feel comfortable and at ease. Clients regularly comment on her energetic, friendly nature.
Lynn is very family oriented. She enjoys good old fashioned time with the family. She is also an active member at TNT Martial Arts in Alliston.
Farina joined Shank Law in October of 2016, as a Law Clerk and Administrative Assistant. She completed her Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Leeds, England, and has since shifted her focus to community and social services.
Farina is studying Autism and Behavioural Sciences at Mohawk College, tutors in elementary level Math, Science and English, and is a volunteer firefighter in her local community.
Sierra joined Shank Law in May 2017 as a coop student from Georgian College. She has continued her affiliation with Shank Law as a Law Clerk, while she completes her final year of the Law Clerk program, as a Dean’s List Honours student.
Sierra is committed to pursuing Family Law as a career. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching group fitness classes at a local gym.
